Job description

Provides expertise in sustained customer success and growth in the post-sales customer lifecycle through training, professional services, technical support, renewals, outcome attainment, retention, expansion, and customer advocacy with a Digital focus.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement projects at various customer work sites in the US and abroad, including the activities of staff and subcontractors. The primary customer contact for the duration of each project. May commission, resolve specification issues, handle correspondence, provide periodic updates, ensure customer satisfaction, and negotiate/coordinate with staff as appropriate.
  • Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
  • Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
  • Up to 30% travel domestic and international
Requirements
  • Batchelor Degree in Business, Computer Science, or Finance
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on software development projects
  • 3 -5 years of experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana, Primavera P6)
  • Desired Characteristics
  • Proven experience in managing customer-facing projects, preferably in the software industry
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PMI-ACP (PMI Agile Certified Practitioner) certification preferred
  • Certification in software development methodologies (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, Kanban) is a plus
  • Additional certifications related to the utility industry (e.g., Certified Energy Manager, NERC Certifications) are highly desirable
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills
  • Experience in the utility industry, particularly with control room systems
  • Knowledge of utility industry regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., NERC, FERC)
  • Experience with utility industry-specific software (e.g., SCADA systems
