A fast-growing software company serving the self-funded medical benefits ecosystem is seeking a Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join their Quality Engineering team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing robust automated and manual test solutions to ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of enterprise applications—including APIs, UIs, and backend databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong software development background, a passion for automation, and a commitment to driving quality throughout the SDLC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement comprehensive test strategies for web applications, APIs, and databases
• Build and maintain scalable automated test suites using industry-standard frameworks
• Create and execute test cases for stored procedures, data validations, and backend logic
• Conduct manual and exploratory testing as needed to complement automation
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to resolve defects and optimize workflows
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and advocate for quality practices throughout the development lifecycle
• Mentor junior team members and promote consistent automation standards
• Stay informed on evolving tools, technologies, and best practices in test automation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 4+ years in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years focused on test automation
• Experience with UI automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress)
• Strong experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, RestSharp, REST Assured)
• Solid background in database testing (data integrity, stored procedures, validations)
• Familiarity with test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Proficient in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills
