Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Sales Engineer to join our Society Management team. This high-visibility role plays a critical part in driving our commercial success by serving as a technical advisor, product expert, and client-facing strategist—with a core focus on Conexiant’s proprietary SAAS platform, DXP.

In addition to mastering DXP, which powers CMS, virtual and hybrid events, LMS, and eCommerce experiences for medical and scientific societies, this individual will be tasked with gaining a comprehensive understanding of all Conexiant’s products and services. They will identify opportunities to cross-sell our solutions to more than 200 society partners, strengthening existing relationships while fostering new ones.

This role also involves serving as a point of contact for select smaller publishing partners. The Senior Sales Engineer will work to deepen these partnerships by discovering synergies, expanding offerings, and ultimately growing the relationships. Over time, this individual will play a key role in scaling new service models and enhancing the client experience across our society portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead technical and functional expert in support of sales efforts, with a strong focus on DXP, Conexiant’s proprietary SAAS platform (CMS, virtual event platform, LMS, and eCommerce).
  • Develop a thorough understanding of all Conexiant services and products, proactively identifying
  • opportunities to cross-sell solutions to society partners.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for smaller publishing partners, building relationships and
  • identifying new synergies to expand collaboration and drive growth.
  • Own the technical sales process—leading platform demos, engaging in deep discovery, and
  • Work directly with Sales and the VP of Society Management to shape proposals, scope new
  • services with product, and ensure solutions align with both client needs and internal capabilities.
  • Translate complex requirements into clear, actionable plans, collaborating with Product and
  • Engineering to identify enhancements or configure solutions.
  • Maintain expert-level understanding of Conexiant’s full offering, including:

Accounts Receivable

o Ad Operations & Reporting

o Content Development (Client-Supported and Independent)

o CE/LMS & eCommerce

o Virtual/Live Event Management

o Marketing, Print, and Digital Publishing o Product Development Assistance

  • Lead technical elements of RFPs, RFIs, and complex proposals, delivering compelling narratives that reflect client needs and Conexiant’s value proposition.
  • Support the development of sales enablement materials, internal documentation, and product training for client-facing teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners to foster long-term strategic collaboration.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, sales engineering, digital product management, or pre-sales roles supporting complex software or service offerings.
  • Proven experience presenting to and engaging with senior-level clients and stakeholders.
  • Background in media, publishing, SAAS, or healthcare communications is highly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of web-based platforms, including CMS, LMS, eCommerce, virtual events,
  • and data-driven reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with a strong ability to distill and
  • present complex ideas clearly.
  • Highly collaborative and client-first, with the emotional intelligence to adapt to different client
  • styles and speeds.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and strategic, with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with evolving priorities.
  • Experience working with medical, scientific, or association partners is a plus.
