A leading company is seeking a Senior Sales Consultant to drive business growth across the East Coast. This remote role involves generating new business, promoting Renters Solutions products, and maintaining client relationships. The ideal candidate will have significant sales experience, particularly in the multifamily housing sector, and be comfortable with travel for meetings and events.
As a Senior Sales Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities across the East Coast. You will be responsible for promoting Assurant’s Renters Solutions products, cultivating strong client relationships, and delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of the multifamily housing industry.
This is a remote position with up to 65% travel required for in-person meetings, trade shows, and industry conferences.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Generate new business through cold calling, networking, and relationship-building within the multifamily housing sector.
Identify customer needs and tailor solutions that align with Assurant’s Renters Solutions offerings.
Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting and proposal development to presentations and contract negotiations.
Attend and represent Assurant at industry events and trade shows.
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to clients, enhancing their experience and satisfaction.
Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless implementation and client onboarding.
Contribute to product development by sharing client feedback and market insights.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
A minimum of5 years of outside sales experience.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the multifamily industry, particularly selling to Property Manager organizations, Student Housing, or Renters Insurance products.
Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Proven track record in business development, negotiation, and closing deals.
Demonstrated ability to make a positive impact within a defined territory.
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
Bachelor’s degree.
Broad understanding of business functions including finance, marketing, operations, HR, and legal.
Strong project management and decision-making skills.
