Title: Sr. RF Systems Engineer

Job Posting Description

KBR is seeking a highly qualified Sr. Radio Frequency (RF) Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will possess an understanding of government satellite systems, insight into RF mission fundamentals, and the ability to perform analysis, modeling, and simulation of complex space systems. These modeling and simulation activities will support the development and validation of requirements, Concept of Operations (CONOPs), architecture products, system schedules, and risk assessments for end-to-end closure of the baseline for space protection-related activities within the overall enterprise.

Responsibilities

1. Analysis of RF systems, performance metrics, timelines, and models
2. Modeling and simulation of RF systems
3. Identify and document issues impacting both spacecraft and ground systems through objective analysis and processes
4. Provide technical expertise in systems engineering to support RF enterprise mission operations, programs, systems, and processes
5. Support orbital analysis, including threat assessments, impacts, trades, and analyses
6. Communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
7. Participate in system design reviews and technical interchange meetings
8. Interface with customers, directorate/office representatives, and cross-system engineering groups to drive resolution strategies for technical challenges
9. Generate and maintain technical documentation and reports

Minimum Qualifications

1. Ph.D. in STEM or a related field
2. 10-15 years of experience in RF engineering
3. Prior experience in modeling and simulation
4. Experience with NRO satellite systems and RF mission fundamentals
5. Experience with CONOPs, architecture products, and requirements
6. Ability to collaborate across stakeholder organizations
7. Strong communication skills for interfacing with customers and technical teams
8. Ability to generate and maintain technical documentation and reports
9. Proficiency with AGI’s Systems Tool Kit (STK), MATLAB, Python, Tableau, and/or C++

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of mission threats impacting RF systems
• Experience supporting wargames and exercises

Security Requirements

TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required to be considered for this position.
