Randstad USA in White Plains, NY, is seeking a Revenue Accountant to tackle high-impact revenue accounting in a growing renewable energy company. You will apply ASC 606, post journal entries, and drive process improvements while collaborating with internal teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and about 5 years of accounting experience, with SAP/PCI experience preferred. Normal business hours are 9 to 5; travel a few days per year may be required.

  • Minimum 5 years accounting experience preferred, with emphasis on reconciliations.
  • Must be a self-starting, motivated individual who can quickly learn new systems and meet deadlines.
  • Prior experience in the energy market is highly preferred.
  • SAP and PCI experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills; able to interpret data for insights.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams; strong communication.

Responsibilities

  • Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition principles to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and post revenue-related journal entries and assist with monthly close.
  • Perform reconciliations for AR, unbilled revenue, and deferred revenue.
  • Support invoicing processes for recurring and usage-based billing.
  • Generate and analyze AR aging reports and support collections.
  • Assist audits and quarterly reviews with internal and external auditors.
  • Assist in managing PTCs and incentive-based revenue/expense recognition.
  • Prepare quarterly and yearly month-end reporting; support team day-to-day tasks.

In this role you'll tackle complex, high-impact revenue accounting in a fast-growing renewable energy company. Beyond standard month-end close, you will collaborates with internal teams, interprets complex contracts, and drives process improvements. Great team and nice longevity amongst the accounting team.

location: West Harrison, New York. Job type: Permanent. Salary: $95,000 - 120,000 per year. Work hours: 9 to 5. Education: Bachelor's degree. Experience: 3 Years.

responsibilities:Role Responsibilities:

  • Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition principles to ensure compliance
  • Prepare and post revenue-related journal entries and assist with monthly close process
  • Perform reconciliations for accounts receivable, unbilled revenue, and deferred revenue
  • Support invoicing processes for reoccurring and usage-based billing to ensure accurate revenue recognition
  • Generate and analyze accounts receivable aging reports and support follow-up efforts with collections
  • Prepare documentation and support for audits and quarterly reviews conducted by internal and external auditors
  • Assist in managing production tax credits (PTCs) revenue recognition and reconciliation
  • Assist in managing royalty calculations and incentive-based revenue/expense recognition and reconciliation
  • Prepare quarterly and yearly month-end reporting
  • Support team members with day-to-day tasks, as needed
  • Interpret contracts and determine appropriate accounting treatment under ASC 606
  • Maintain clear and accurate process documentation to support audit readiness, compliance, and consistency across revenue accounting tasks
  • Collaborate with internal departments to validate revenue terms
  • Drives deadline-sensitive initiatives like accruals and reconciliations
  • Communicates effectively with stakeholders to resolve issues and align on expectations
