This role is eligible for a generous sign-on bonus, dependent on your years of Respiratory Therapist experience:

• 0-1 years of experience = $12,000 (with a 2-year commitment)
• 1+ years of experience = $20,000 (with a 2-year commitment)

Applicants will be considered as RRTs or CRTs and will be placed in the appropriate role and salary based on their experience, education, and certifications.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate medical orders and interpret clinical data to optimize patient outcomes.
• Set up and operate devices such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas systems, environmental controls, and aerosol generators. Ensure equipment functions safely and effectively.
• Assist in transporting mechanically ventilated patients and respond to code situations.
• Maintain patient charts, order repairs, demonstrate procedures, and supervise trainees.
• Read prescriptions, measure arterial blood gases, assess patient condition, and determine treatment requirements.
• Monitor patient responses to therapy and perform procedures like bronchopulmonary drainage and breathing exercises.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care program, licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Pennsylvania, and certification as a CRT from NBRC before the expiration of any temporary permit. BLS or CPR certification is also required.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• BLS or CPR certification
• Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT)
• Act 33, 34, and 73 FBI Clearances (with renewal)
