Regional Service Manager - South

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service to satisfy customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility. The work model for the role is remote with travel. This role contributes to the Process Automation Energy Industries division in the Southern region. You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Performing entry-level field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activities in service categories and products.
2. Preparing material lists needed for service activities and ensuring all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality.
3. Executing work on a first-time right approach with customers, ensuring the job is done on time and according to quality standards.
4. Troubleshooting simple equipment failures and making recommendations to avoid future issues.

Qualifications for the role

• Associate Degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Automation, or Control-related field and minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft, networking, cybersecurity, and ABB 800xA/AC800M DCS is a plus. Formal training will be provided.
• Self-motivated and self-directed, capable of managing numerous customer responsibilities.
• Experience in DCS systems maintenance, configuration, and process control. Must be willing to relocate near Baton Rouge, LA; relocation assistance provided. Strong troubleshooting skills required.
• Commitment to excellence, effective communication, problem solving, teamwork, technical orientation, customer focus, and professionalism.
• Fluent English speaker and holding a valid driver’s license.
• Legal work authorization for the US required.
