At Sunrise, our Senior Resident Care Director (Sr. RCD) is responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the health and well-being of the residents within the community to which they are assigned, supporting the North Carolina area.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Managing all clinical programs, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
• Assisting in the training and onboarding of clinical and care coordinator team members
• Partnering with the Regional Director of Resident Care to provide Medication Care Manager training (where allowed), Nursing at-Sunrise training, and other care and service training

Qualifications:

• Current state license as a Professional Registered Nurse per state regulations in the states they support
• Experience in assisted living and/or long-term care
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
• Competence in assessment skills, injections/medication administration, follow-up, and triage
• At least two (2) years of nursing management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and supervision
• Ability to delegate and oversee care provision according to nursing and Sunrise standards
• Effective communication skills, including small group presentations and training facilitation
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office, and Sunrise applications
• Ability to travel within the geographic area and for special projects
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours as needed
