Job summary

Bosch USA is seeking a Senior Research Scientist in Vision-Language-Action (VLA) Models to push the boundaries of Embodied AI across ADAS, automation, and robotics. The role involves advancing perception and planning with multimodal models and working with global teams to transfer innovations into Bosch platforms.

The candidate will publish findings, contribute to patents, and engage with academic communities while leading research efforts in Sunnyvale, CA. A Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics or related field is required or Master’s with ≥2 years of post-graduate R&D experience.
• 5+ years of R&D experience in AI including computer vision and robotics or automotive motion planning.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Rust; strong ML framework knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in AI/ML for Embodied AI to support ADAS/AD, robotics, and automation.
• Advance end-to-end perception and planning with multimodal vision-language-action models.
• Collaborate with global teams to transfer technology and integrate systems.
