Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation is seeking an experienced Auditor/Project Manager to coordinate external reviews and audits, and to serve as the in-charge on internal audits and projects. The role combines leadership, regulatory insight, and process improvement within a major healthcare environment.

The position requires strong supervisory skills, excellent communication, and the ability to train staff in standards, policies, and data analysis. Full-time, on-site in Chicago, IL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years auditing, project management or regulatory experience OR 9 years Internal Audit, project management, or regulatory experience with experience in the Financial or Operational health care environment.
• Experience leading major projects.
• Experience and knowledge in the following areas sufficient to train and supervise professional staff for technical assignments: department policy and procedure, functional responsibilities, process flow and mapping, report writing, accounting, and auditing standards, data collections, analysis, documentation, and sampling techniques.
• Knowledge of business information resources, general business practices, business law, and project management best practices.
• Verbal and written communication skills, time-management, and project-management skills.
• Supervisory and leadership skills, sensitivity, listening/receptivity, leading and motivating others, and resolving conflict and negotiation.
• Presentation software and delivery skills, ability to orient and train others in corporate standard office applications, database and spreadsheet applications and computer-aided tools and web browser technology.

Job Summary

• Professional certification in Accounting, Audit, Systems Audit, or Insurance, e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA, CFSA.

• Knowledge of key aspects in corporate health and life operations, including business partner operations, compliance support, code of conduct, and corporate policies and procedures.

• Familiarity with legislative and regulatory agency process

• Demonstrated experience working in a heavily regulated environment.

• Demonstrated experience interacting closely with regulatory agencies and their staff.

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.

Base Pay Range

$70,600.00 - $149,600.00
