Job Description:

This position is a remote senior fund accounting position. Looking to add a temporary or temp to perm staff to our growing fund accounting team ahead of year end to assist with fund level tasks including property level reviews and cash activities. Fund focus is residential, industrial and office assets. Must be able to apply cash, accrual and full GAAP accounting principles to analyze, maintain and deliver complete and accurate financial reports for a highly complex or strategic portfolio of clients and properties. Complete and oversee advanced level accounting transactions in preparation of client financial statement packages. Create and post journal entries. Review property financial packages for accuracy and comprehensive reporting. Review and reconcile equity for joint ventures. Upload and validate trial balances from property managers into Yardi accounting system. Rollup and review property financials and consolidate into the fund. Assist with fund accounting projects as needed. Complete review task and workpaper packages on a schedule to ensure timely delivery to the client. Adhere to Policies and Procedures to ensure internal and external reporting requirements are consistently met. Review and audit funding and payment requests for accuracy, documentation and authorization in accordance with established operating procedures. Respond to and resolves issues and requests from clients regarding various accounting issues and reports. Research open accounting issues and recognizes potential issues and/or conflicts so corrective action can intercept and minimize issues.
