Job summary

KBR’s Missile, Aviation, and Ground Systems division seeks engineers for a US Army radar system program in Huntsville. You will work on integrating state-of-the-art sensor tech with Army air and missile defense systems, performing data analysis and reporting of radar data from modeling, simulation, and live events.

You will learn data reduction tools and interfaces, collaborating with Government customers and SME teams to deliver mission-ready capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in engineering or STEM with 8+ years of experience OR Master’s in engineering or STEM with 6+ years of experience.
  • Expertise in AESA radar hardware, radar architecture, and signal processing.
  • Working knowledge of C, C++, MATLAB, and Python.
  • U.S. Citizen; ability to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance.
  • Willingness to travel ~20% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and analyze radar data from modeling, simulation, and live events.
  • Interface with Government customer and contractor SMEs to support mission requirements.

Program Summary

Job Summary

Join a dynamic team of talented and inspired engineers developing a US Army radar system. This program integrates state‑of‑the‑art sensor technology with existing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, and requires in‑depth understanding of radar systems and theory, and hardware background. Candidates require strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to perform data analysis and reporting of radar data from modeling and simulation and live events. Candidates will be required to become competent in data reduction software, data reduction output, and analysis tools. You will interface directly with the Government customer and contractor subject matter experts regularly.

Basic Qualifications
  • Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (electrical, software, computer, etc.) or other STEM related fields (physics, mathematics, computer science, etc.) with 8+ years of experience or a Master’s Degree in engineering (electrical, software, computer, etc.) or other STEM related fields (physics, mathematics, computer science, etc.) with 6+ years of experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise of AESA radar hardware, radar architecture, and signal processing. Need to be familiar with DoD systems engineering processes and provide SME expertise to customers on a daily basis.
  • Working knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, MATLAB, and Python.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Possess or be able to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
  • Able to travel 20% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience directly supporting a Government customer.
  • Technical expertise with ability to logically formulate solutions for execution on prescribed schedules.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences large or small of varying technical knowledge.
