Your Key Responsibilities
- Champion a zero-injury workplace culture, with safety embedded in every quality initiative.
- Own and lead the Quality Management System, including overseeing compliance with standards such as AS9100, AS13100, NADCAP, and ASTM.
- Lead, plan, and facilitate internal and external quality audits, including third-party and customer-specific requirements.
- Drive corrective action systems, process improvement initiatives, and root cause analysis to strengthen operational performance.
- Oversee material testing laboratories, ensuring equipment calibration, capability studies, and cutting-edge technology adoption.
- Serve as the primary quality liaison for customers, managing surveys, certifications, and issue resolution.
- Maintain and govern critical quality components including:
- Gage R&Rs
- CARs
- SOPs
- FMEAs
- Supplier audits and approvals
- Manage and mentor a team of QA professionals, with a focus on coaching, performance development, and talent optimization.
- Lead biannual talent reviews and align team structure with strategic growth plans.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline (advanced training/certifications in quality systems are a plus).
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in quality assurance within manufacturing or production environments.
- Expertise in aerospace or regulated industries, with a strong command of standards like AS9100 and NADCAP.
- Proven success managing cross-functional teams, multi-site operations, and complex customer requirements.
- Experience with ERP and MES systems for quality verification and process analysis.
