What You'll Be Doing

1. Oversee QC for 9 agg plants, Philadelphia portables, Downingtown recycle
2. Provide technical guidance and support to ~8 indirect reports
3. Monitor/manage day to day compliance with specifications/targets
4. Heavy engagement with QC Techs on testing, customer complaints, statistical tracking
5. Perform hands-on lab work as required
6. Must be available as required for nights/weekends
7. Engage with Operations, Sales and Construction on product quality, bid specifications, etc.
8. Annual update of state required PennDOT QC plans, also ensure compliance throughout year
9. Oversight of daily DOT certifications
10. Identify continuous improvement opportunities (product and yield optimization)
11. Implementing required standards, processes in HM labs
12. Implement corrective action for any deficiencies found in labs or Technicians
13. Training and development of new Technicians

What Are We Looking For

1. Previous experience in the Hot Mix Asphalt Industry
2. PennDOT Aggregate Technician certification preferred. Must be willing and able to pass the certification if it is not currently held
3. Solid computer skills, MS Excel experience is required
4. Demonstrated basic math skills
5. Must be able to lift over 50 lbs. on a regular basis
6. Ability to work overtime as needed including nights and weekends
7. Ability to work independently
8. Strong communication skills to interact with customers, contractors and plant personnel
