The Senior QA Engineer plays a critical role in driving a quality-first culture throughout the entire software development lifecycle. Through close collaboration with Product and Engineering teams, this role focuses on the design and execution of intelligent testing strategies, the development and maintenance of automation frameworks, and the delivery of consistently reliable, high-quality software to our customers. You will lead initiatives that enhance test coverage, optimize automation, and improve processes, ensuring that quality is embedded early and often in every release.

Do you have experience with:

-Leading the testing efforts for large-scale, web-based, and SaaS systems by creating comprehensive test plans, strategies, and cases.

-Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, define acceptance criteria, and continuously improve testing methods and strategies.

-Developing intelligent and efficient testing strategies to dramatically increase the ratio of internally found defects versus customer-reported defects.

-Collaborating with teams to develop and promote quality assurance processes and systems to improve overall quality

-Designing, developing, and maintaining Automation Frameworks using Playwright and Karate

-Planning and performing functional, E2E, regression testing, keeping pace with the Agile team, and reporting and finding issues.

-Providing test summary reports that communicate key quality indicators, risks, and mitigations to leadership

-Estimating testing requirements for input into planning efforts

-Enhancing the test case library to increase test case coverage

-Striving to ensure quality releases of software with no production downtime and/or critical impediments to users

-Providing mentorship and guidance to junior QA engineers.

In order to qualify for this role you must have:

-5+ years of Quality Assurance Engineering experience working with web applications and\or SaaS applications in an agile\scrum environment with a strong focus on automation.

-3+ years of experience in delivering test automation frameworks, test and integration tools

-Proficient in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python

-2+ years of Backend/API experience in Karate, Playwright (Playwright, Selenium, JavaScript, Python)

-Experience in integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).

-Solid understanding of RESTful API testing and relational databases, with fluency in SQL

-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

-Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

-Must be a self-starter, proactive, and able to work independently with a high degree of initiative.

-Passionate about improving processes and driving continuous quality improvement

Compensation:

The typical starting salary range for this position is: $100k-115k.
The actual salary offer will consider multiple factors, including skills, experience, education, and location. Please note that the salary reflects the base amount only and does not include total compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and benefits.
