Job summary

ELLKAY is seeking an experienced Senior QA Analyst to lead testing efforts for healthcare product applications and enterprise healthcare solutions. This role is responsible for validating product functionality, healthcare workflows, security, integrations, and compliance requirements while ensuring high-quality software releases.

The ideal candidate will have strong healthcare domain expertise, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work closely with Product Owners,

Qualifications

  • 5+ years QA experience in software testing.
  • 3+ years in senior QA roles (lead/senior analyst).
  • 3+ years testing healthcare software and workflows.
  • Experience collaborating with Product Mgmt, Clinical SMEs, BAs, & Dev teams.
  • Strong functional, integration, regression, UAT testing.
  • Strong SQL, data validation and data analysis skills.
  • API testing experience and data validation.
  • Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress.
  • Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies and SDLC.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead functional, integration, regression, system, UAT testing for healthcare products.
  • Design test strategy, plans, and scenarios to ensure coverage and quality.
  • Analyze requirements and workflows to develop comprehensive test cases.
  • Collaborate with POs, Clinical SMEs, BAs, and Dev teams to validate requirements.
  • Validate healthcare workflows across EHR/EMR, LIS, HR, ERP, and archives.
  • Perform end-to-end testing of patient, provider, encounter, and financial data.
  • Verify interoperability using HL7, CCD, FHIR, XML, JSON standards.
  • Perform data validation with SQL; manage defects in JIRA or similar.
  • Develop automated tests and expand automation coverage.
  • Mentor junior QA staff and contribute to process improvements.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Analyst to lead testing efforts for healthcare product applications and enterprise healthcare solutions. This role is responsible for validating product functionality, healthcare workflows, security, integrations, and compliance requirements while ensuring high-quality software releases.

The ideal candidate will have strong healthcare domain expertise, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Clinical SMEs, and Development teams throughout the product lifecycle.

This position requires strong knowledge of healthcare systems, clinical workflows, healthcare interoperability, data validation, and QA best practices. Experience with healthcare archive solutions, EHR/EMR systems, and AI-assisted testing approaches is highly desirable.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead functional, integration, regression, system, user acceptance, and end-to-end testing activities for healthcare products and enterprise applications.
  • Lead test strategy, test planning, and test scenario design for healthcare products, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional, integration, regression, and data validation requirements while maintaining high product quality and on‑time release delivery.
  • Analyze business requirements, product specifications, user stories, and workflows to develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Clinical SMEs, Business Analysts, and Development teams to validate business requirements and ensure accurate implementation of healthcare workflows.
  • Validate healthcare product functionality across multiple domains, including:
    • Clinical / EHR / EMR Systems
    • Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
    • Blood Bank Systems
    • Financial Systems
    • ERP Systems
    • Human Resources (HR) Systems
    • Enterprise Archive Solutions
  • Perform end-to-end testing of healthcare workflows involving patient, provider, encounter, laboratory, financial, and operational data.
  • Validate healthcare interoperability solutions, including HL7, CCD, FHIR, XML, JSON, and other healthcare data exchange standards.
  • Perform data validation and database testing using SQL queries to verify data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
  • Design and implement comprehensive test plans based on system specifications, business requirements, and user stories.
  • Verify security requirements, including Single Sign-On (SSO), SAML authentication, role‑based access control (RBAC), audit trails, and user permissions.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, healthcare privacy regulations, and organizational security standards.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and validate defects using JIRA or similar tools.
  • Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with Development teams to resolve issues.
  • Support release validation, production deployments, and post‑release verification activities.
  • Develop and execute automated test cases and identify opportunities to improve automation coverage.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Mentor junior QA team members and promote QA best practices across the team.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives, quality metrics, and testing standards.
  • Evaluate opportunities to leverage AI‑assisted testing tools and automation technologies to improve efficiency and coverage.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience in software application testing.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Senior QA Analyst, Lead QA Analyst, or similar senior‑level QA role.
  • 3+ years of experience testing healthcare software products and healthcare workflows.
  • Experience working directly with Product Management, Clinical SMEs, Business Analysts, and Development teams.
  • Strong experience in functional, integration, regression, system, end‑to‑end, and UAT testing.
  • Strong SQL, database validation, and data analysis skills.
  • Experience with API testing and data validation.
  • Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies, SDLC processes, and product development lifecycles.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Proven ability to lead testing efforts, drive quality initiatives, and mentor QA team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical systems, healthcare data, and compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience testing healthcare products, healthcare data solutions, enterprise healthcare platforms, or healthcare archive solutions.
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, CCD, FHIR, XML, and JSON.
  • Experience with healthcare workflows, clinical systems, and healthcare data validation.
  • Experience with AI‑assisted testing tools or AI‑driven quality engineering solutions.
  • Experience designing or maintaining test automation frameworks and regression suites.
  • Knowledge of performance, load, scalability, and security testing methodologies.
  • Experience working in Agile product development environments with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Experience driving QA process improvements and automation initiatives.
