ELLKAY is seeking a hands-on Data Platform Lead to provide daily technical leadership for the design, implementation, and operation of the Data Platform and Data Lake. This role translates platform strategy into architecture, reusable engineering patterns, production services, and clearly executable team plans.

You will lead ingestion, transformation, storage, orchestration, and data-serving capabilities; define reusable ingestion patterns for batch, streaming, and API data; and establish

• Establish standards for schemas, metadata, lineage, data quality, access control, testing, deployment, and observability.
• Lead design reviews and guide engineers through complex technical decisions.
• Break platform initiatives into executable work and coordinate delivery across engineering teams.
• Improve performance, scalability, resiliency, security, and cloud-cost efficiency.
• Create automated deployment, testing, monitoring, alerting, and recovery processes.
• Mentor engineers and reduce reliance on undocumented knowledge or individual contributors.
• Partner with Architecture, Product, Security, Compliance, DevOps/SRE, Analytics, and application teams.
• Participate in production support, incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

Salary Range: $200,000.00 To $220,000.00 Annually
