Job summary

Caddell Construction is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Commercial to lead large-scale projects across multiple locations including Phoenix. You will mentor project managers and superintendents, verify estimates, and supervise all construction activities to ensure scope, budget and schedule alignment.

The role requires a 4-year degree in engineering or construction management and substantial PM experience, with emphasis on safety, client relations, and on-site leadership.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED with 15 years of project management experience.
  • A 4-year degree in engineering or construction management is preferred with 15 years' experience.
  • Experience with automation or manufacturing/production remodels is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, trains and mentors project managers and superintendents.
  • Verifies project estimates with detailed review of specs, drawings and contracts.
  • Supervises construction to ensure alignment with design and budget.
  • Plans and supervises onsite scheduling, engineering, material control and staff.
  • Administers safety, quality and productivity across subcontractors and crafts.
  • Forecasts costs and tracks project financials.

What You Will Do
  • Develops, trains and mentors project managers and superintendents.
  • Assesses scope of work and resources required to successfully complete the
  • Verifies project estimates for completeness with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, and all contract documents.
  • Supervises total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and includes interfacing with owner, A/E representatives, subcontractors, etc.
  • Plans, coordinates and supervises onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control) and provides day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff.
  • Provides technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, as required. Oversees and reviews extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.
  • Assumes responsibility for safety, quality and productivity of subcontractors as well as Caddell craft employees. Monitors the efficient use of materials and equipment and the contractual performance of the project.
  • Administers financial tracking systems to monitor project costs and forecast the remaining project cost.

Working Conditions

Construction setting, travel required, full time. Must have the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for longs periods of time, lift and hold in excess of 50lbs, talk, hear and occasionally sit. Must have the ability to withstand confined spaces and or/extreme heights while negotiating tasks at hand in a safe manner to themselves and/or others. Subject to hot, cold, humid and wet conditions depending on location.

Education / Experience

Minimum high school diploma/GED and 15 years experience as a project manager. Four-year degree in engineering or construction management and 15 years' experience preferred. Experience with automation or manufacturing/production remodels preferred.
