The role focuses on regulatory readiness, certification program oversight, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure products meet evolving global security standards. The position is a long term contract with hybrid work in Raleigh, NC.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of program management or compliance leadership experience.
• Experience navigating evolving regulatory environments (CRA, CC, FIPS, CE Marking).
• Background in enterprise technology or cybersecurity product development.
• Ability to translate regulations into actionable guidance for teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead certification and compliance programs across a global product portfolio.
• Drive readiness efforts for emerging regulations including the CRA.
• Translate regulatory requirements into actionable guidance for engineering and product teams.
• Manage certification initiatives involving CC, FIPS, CE Marking and related frameworks.
• Partner with Engineering, Security, Product, and Legal teams to integrate requirements.
• Mentor and support distributed compliance and certification teams.
• Represent the organization with regulatory agencies, auditors, and industry groups.

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Project Manager - Certification and Compliance to lead enterprise-wide certification and compliance initiatives for a global technology and cybersecurity organization. The Sr. Project Manager - Certification and Compliance will drive regulatory readiness, oversee certification programs, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet evolving global security and compliance standards. The Sr. Project Manager - Certification and Compliance is a long term contract opportunity and requires you to work hybrid in Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Project Manager - Certification and Compliance:

• Lead certification and compliance programs across a global product portfolio.
• Drive readiness efforts for emerging regulations, including the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
• Translate regulatory requirements into actionable guidance for engineering and product teams.
• Manage certification initiatives involving Common Criteria (CC), FIPS, CE Marking, and related frameworks.
• Partner with Engineering, Security, Product, and Legal teams to integrate compliance requirements into the product lifecycle.
• Mentor and support globally distributed compliance and certification teams.
• Represent the organization with regulatory agencies, auditors, and industry groups.

Requirements of the Sr. Project Manager - Certification and Compliance:

• 10+ years of experience in program management, compliance, engineering leadership, or related fields.
• Strong program management experience leading complex enterprise initiatives.
• Experience with Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), Common Criteria (CC), FIPS, and/or CE Marking.
• Background in networking, cybersecurity, software, or hardware product development.
• Ability to navigate evolving regulatory environments and drive organizational change.
• Experience within a large enterprise technology environment preferred.

Compensation for the Sr. Project Manager - Certification and Compliance:

• $80,000 - $110,000
• Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law.
