Job summary

Flynn Group of Companies is seeking a Sr. Project Manager for the Architectural Metals division to oversee the full project lifecycle from inception through handover.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, manage budgets, schedules, and procurement, and ensure high quality workmanship across multiple jobsites. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in architectural metal systems, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering profitable projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Min. 8 yrs experience as PM in architectural sheet metal/building envelope
• 4-year degree preferred in construction management, architecture or engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience with metal wall panels, architectural metal and metal roofing preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project; strong reading of architectural drawings

Responsibilities

• Direct role in customer relations and sales across projects
• Oversee project selection, strategy and scheduling for multiple projects
• Set up and manage contracts, budgets, and cost control
• Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment with site teams
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and building codes
• Monitor safety plans and quality control documentation

This key position will act as a Project Manager in the Architectural Metal Division and is responsible for providing Project Management for the entire life cycle of their projects and support to other project managers appropriately. The Project Manager is a vital connection between all departments and will be the main point of contact for their projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities. They will maximize the efficiency and profit of the project by purchasing materials under budget, offering value engineered options, tracking project schedule and overseeing the disbursement of materials and labor to a particular jobsite in collaboration with the Superintendent and/or Operations Team.

A Day in the Life

• Direct role in customer relations and sales
• Project selection and strategy
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously
• Set up and manage project contract, budget, and cost
• Coordinate manpower schedule, material, and equipment
• Ensure all specifications, details, and applicable building codes are met
• Ensure field crews meet or exceed the Flynn Safety plan
• Manage production reports and provide weekly reports to field supervision
• Manage and monitor RFIs, change orders, and contract documentsMaintain and develop relationships with customers and consultants
• Develop and monitor quality control documents including shop drawings, submittals, and field reports

What you bring

• Min. 8 yrs experience working as a PM in the architectural sheet metal and/or building envelope industry
• Experience with high-end architectural sheet metal materials and systems
• 4-year degree from a recognized construction management, architectural, engineering, or business program preferred, or experience in lieu of accepted
• Previous metal wall panels, architectural metal and metal roofing experience.
• Proficiency in MS office package, including MS Project
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
