Job summary

Arvato is seeking a Project Lead to drive the successful implementation of new business ventures within our logistics operations. The role requires strategic thinking, process design, and strong project management with stakeholder communication.

You will coordinate engineering, IT, operations, and other functions across full project lifecycles, ensuring timely delivery and effective change management while engaging clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration.
  • 5+ years in project management for new business implementations in logistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Experience in High Tech, Healthcare, or Consumer Products sectors is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, IT, Operations, HR, QA, Transportation, Security, Legal and Finance through the full project lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain project structure and documentation (minutes, notes, logs).
  • Establish and assign clear roles and responsibilities aligned with project goals.
  • Define key project criteria metrics and implement control/reporting procedures.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans and ensure timelines are met.
  • Lead change management initiatives to engage stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk analysis and cost control to manage budgets and mitigate risks.
  • Manage communications with internal and external stakeholders and lead governance boards.
  • Coordinate with customers and external stakeholders throughout implementation.
  • Ensure alignment between workstreams for smooth execution.
  • Create standardized PM tools and templates.
  • Share best practices with local and international project managers.

Job Description

The Project Lead will play a critical role in successfully implementing new businesses and clients within our logistics operations. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in process design, project management, and stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex projects, particularly in the logistics sector, and will work closely with internal teams and external clients to ensure seamless implementation.

Your Tasks
  • Manage cross-functional teams for Engineering, IT, Operations, HR, QA, Transportation, Security, Legal and Finance throughthe full project management lifecycle including initial project kick-off, requirements gathering, timeline development, integration of timelines for each workstream and execution of work packages by the cross-functional teams.
  • Overall Project Setup: Create and maintain project structure, including documentation such as meeting minutes, notes, and agreement logs.
  • Establish and assign clear roles and responsibilities, ensuring alignment with project goals and team capabilities.
  • Define key project criteria metrics; implement project control and reporting procedures to manage changes in the operational plan effectively.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, ensuring timelines are met and adjustments are communicated effectively.
  • Lead change management initiatives, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the implementation process.
  • Conduct risk analysis and cost controlling to ensure project budgets are adhered to while identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Manage communication with stakeholders, including setting up and leading control boards (both internal and external) to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Manage clear and effective communication with customers and other external stakeholders throughout the implementation process.
  • Ensure general alignment between different workstreams to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Create and implement standardized tools and templates to streamline project management processes.
  • Engage in knowledge exchange with other local and international project managers to share best practices and enhance project outcomes.
  • Any additional tasks that may be assigned to ensure an efficient, safe, clean, and goal-oriented work environment.
Your Profile
  • At least5years ofexperience in a project management capacity, specifically with a focus on new business implementations within the logistics industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in SupplyChain Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationpreferred.
  • Experience working with companies in the following sectors: High Tech, Healthcare, or Consumer Products industries preferred.
