BJC HealthCare’s Clinical Informatics Department seeks a Sr. Project Manager to drive enterprise nursing or physician informatics initiatives, advancing patient care and clinical workflows.

The role partners with nursing, operational, and IT leaders to execute strategy, promote adoption of clinical systems, and deliver measurable outcomes across the health system. This is a hybrid position with a focus on leading complex projects, change management, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2-5 years of experience listed in the minimum section.
• Master's degree preferred with 5-10 years experience in supervision and project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects and teams across scope, timing and deliverables.
• Manage scoping, planning, execution, analysis, tracking, and reporting.
• Oversee change management, stakeholder tollgates, and risk/issue mitigation.
• Provide leadership on requirements, WBS, milestones, and charter documents.
• Maintain strong sponsor/stakeholder relationships and transparent dashboards.

Additional Information About The Role

BJC Clinical Informatics Department is hiring for Sr. Project Manager. This role supports complex, enterprise-wide nursing informatics or physician informatics initiatives that advance patient care, clinical workflows, and operational performance. The Sr. PM partners with nursing, operational, and IT leaders to drive strategy execution, ensure successful adoption of clinical systems (e.g., EHR, communications platforms), and deliver measurable outcomes across the health system. This is a hybrid position.

Role Purpose

Manages multiple or large projects including subprojects and project teams in order to achieve engagement goals and reach successful business outcomes. Project assignments, team size and duration will vary and can be large in scope, complexity and strategic alignment. Performs and manages tasks and team members related to: - Project scoping, planning, execution, analysis and tracking - Change management - Team facilitation - Risk/issue identification and mitigation - Stakeholder tollgates/reports - Conducts training in project management consistent with PMI and PMBOK

Responsibilities

• Responsible for expert level application and knowledge transfer of project management.
• Performs and manages tasks and team members related to: - Project scoping, planning, execution, analysis and tracking- Change management- Team facilitation- Risk/issue identification and mitigation- Stakeholder tollgates/reports- Conducts training in project management consistent with PMI and PMBOK
• Provides leadership to project teams in the interpretation, development and implementation of an assigned project. Management of developing functional and business requirements, work breakdown structure, timeline, dependencies, milestones, project approval and charter documents.
• Maintains strong relationships with sponsors and stakeholders through communication and collaboration of project tracking, analysis, and dashboard results as well as risks/issues, mitigation strategies, and schedule adjustments.
• Acts as a principle advisor regarding project direction and redirection including deliverables, scope, timeline and resource adjustments.
