Job description

We are currently searching for an experienced Project Engineer to support our West Gulf Region located in Shreveport, LA.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Directly supports Owner’s project leadership to enable successful on-time and on-schedule delivery of the projects/tasks.
  • Responsible for management and oversight of the Project/Tasks, including coordinating with stakeholders and meeting all project requirements.
  • Represents the team on technical discussions and has the technical know-how to discuss and resolve technical issues.
  • Sees the project’s “big picture” beyond engineering and construction requirements, and understands their interface with the project’s objectives.
  • Ability to balance technical constraints, policy goals, and stakeholder needs to recommend optimal solutions to difficult issues.
  • Coordinates with multiple agencies and local jurisdictions to provide timely information sharing, win-win solutions, and ultimately obtain project support.
  • Coordinates with community and business stakeholders to provide timely information, receive productive input, and responsive issue resolution.
  • Assisting in the design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructures.
  • These projects may include bridges, roads, tunnels, water, and sewage systems.
  • Different roadway design components include typical sections, geometric layouts, drainage analysis, maintenance of traffic plans.
  • Assignments will also involve tasks associated with producing a set of construction documents including drafting, computations, specifications, and cost estimate.
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations & analysis, and utilizes design software to solve complex issues.
  • Responsible for project schedules and client communications.
  • Provide QA/QC checks of plans and calculations on each stage of plan submittals.

What you need to have:

  • BS or MS in Civil from an ABET accredited program.
  • EI Certification may be considered.
  • Experience with AutoCad Civil 3D and MicroStation.
  • Self-motivated to meet individual goals and maintain accountability in a team environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
