Job summary

Pavion is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead our security project portfolio in the Norwell, MA area. You will oversee planning, design, installation, start-up, and turnover of fire, security, and AV projects, coordinating cross-functional teams and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of PM leadership, a BS in a relevant field, PMI/PMP or equivalent certifications, and willingness to travel throughout New England. Hybrid work arrangement available.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience leading projects as a Project Manager
• PMI CAPM/PMP or Avixa CTS/CSPM certifications preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel in New England
• Hybrid work ability between remote/home office and Norwell, MA
• Experience with CRM or ERP software and resource scheduling tools

Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Project Manager to join our security business unit.

Primary Responsibilities

• Management of assigned project portfolio. Total portfolio revenue expectations to manage ranges from $5-$15mil
• Supervise and direct project team during planning, estimating, design, installation, start-up, commissioning, turnover, and warranty of assigned projects
• Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance by providing purpose, direction, and motivation
• Coordination and management of resource assignments based upon project requirements and technician skillset
• Manage the development of project plans prior to project activity assuring effective execution by the project team. Prepare and update project schedule and cost estimates
• Coordinate and provide direction for the budget estimating, purchasing, engineering, accounting, cost, and construction (as applicable) functions as they relate to project completion. Oversee and coordinate all equipment procurement and associated delivery cycles
• Support Service Department as necessary with issues arising from recently deployed or turned over systems

Basic Qualifications

• 5-10 years’ experience leading projects as a Project Manager with a strong foundational knowledge of project execution, initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or equivalent work experience or related curriculum
• Industry Project Management Certifications such as a PMI CAPM, PMI PMP, Avixa CTS or CSPM
• Valid Drivers License and acceptable driving record
• Must be able to travel throughout New England as projects require (MA, NH, ME, RI and CT)
• Must have a reliable form of transportation
• Must be able to work a hybrid schedule between remote/ in-home office and Norwell, MA branch office
• Position will require occasional travel to client and project locations to deliver goods/ material as needed
• Strong foundational knowledge of Project Management processes, procedures, methods, and techniques
• Proficient with CRM or ERP software including resource scheduling tools and material management
• Proficient with computers and basic Microsoft Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including mobile applications
• Must be able to demonstrate persistence, tactfulness and responsibility; maintain silence regarding confidential information; make decisions based on personal judgment and verifiable criteria; deal effectively with people in actual job duties beyond giving and receiving instructions; perceive details in a variety of written materials; communicate effectively; understand and apply proper terminology and methods; reason clearly and logically; work with numbers; read and interpret reports; communicate well
• Must be self-motivated and must work well with others in a team environment
• Must possess strong written and oral communications skills
• Proven success working with all levels of management
• Experience of customer retention and satisfaction

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-4 years construction management related experience
• Experience leading security, communications, audiovisual and healthcare projects
• OSHA 10

Compensation - starting at low $100K's+, commensurate with experience + applicable bonus structure
