Job summary

RS&H in Miami seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead aviation and civil infrastructure projects from planning through delivery. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure client satisfaction on large-scale projects.

You will play a key role in business development, project execution, and client relationship management within the Miami Aviation group, driving success and growth for RS&H and its clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited program with 10 years of relevant experience.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication and client-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and manage aviation and civil infrastructure projects.
• Oversee stormwater, utility, and pavement design and assessments.
• Manage construction support services including construction management and inspection.

The Opportunity

RS&H is currently seeking an experienced project manager to join our team. You will serve an integral role in the firm by conforming projects to the client's requirements, meeting scheduled milestone dates, internal and external budget constraints, and participating in the selection of subconsultants and delivery of a quality project. This position will determine the needs and expectations of the client and oversees the project to ensure all needs are met, including establishing and communicating project requirements and ensuring the team delivers a final product which meets the requirements and maintains client satisfaction; develop a detailed scope of work, budget, and schedule; provide ongoing communication to the project team, ensuring objectives are clear; direct the project team through all phases of the project to achieve the desired results within the established budget and schedule; negotiate scope and fee with the client under the guidance/direction of a project officer; recommend alternative solutions if project objectives cannot be achieved and contractual obligations cannot be met; serve as a point of contact for the client and the liaison with the project team throughout the duration of the project; provide technical direction and coordination of the project team; and provide an exceptional client experience to support marketing efforts to secure repeat business from existing clients and work from new clients.

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll lead multidisciplinary teams through all phases of planning, design, and delivery of complex projects. You’ll play a key role in business development, project execution, and client relationship management — and contribute to the growth of our Miami Aviation team.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and manage a variety of aviation and civil infrastructure projects
• Oversee stormwater, utility infrastructure, and pavement design and assessments
• Manage construction support services, including construction management and inspection
• Lead and coordinate large, multi-disciplinary design teams
• Prepare engineering plans, specifications, reports, and permit applications
• Analyze design alternatives, technical data, cost estimates, and project schedules
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
• Maintain and grow client relationships with local and national aviation partners
• Support business development, including proposal preparation and client presentations

Mentor and develop junior team members to promote technical excellence

To Be Successful In This Role, You Must

• Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited program and 10 years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional Engineer, Registered Architect or Interior Designer, and/or Licensed General Contractor is preferred.
• Have a passion for project management. PMP certification is preferred.
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Possess strong attention to detail, commitment to follow through, and ability to work independently following general direction and oversight from leadership.
• Be able to multi-task, prioritize workload, set priorities, and manage multiple projects and assignments.
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to and understand people in a courteous and professional manner.
• Possess the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, demonstrate professional courage, and guide and influence others.
