Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multiple complex projects across our Power Systems unit. You will coordinate with account/program management and ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope per contract.

The role requires strong leadership to coach PMs and cross-functional teams, proactive risk management, and the ability to drive PMO excellence while expanding client relationships and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field + 7 years of experience in customer project execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field + 5 years of experience in customer project execution.
• Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field + 3 years of experience in customer project execution.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex projects from initiation through completion, delivering results on scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Develop, coach, and mentor Project Managers and project teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth and lead a cross functional project team.
• Proactively manage project scope changes, crises and risks and create contingency and mitigation plans.
• Prepare and deliver project progress reports (schedule, cost vs. budget, risks, tasks, etc.) to executive management
• Identify potential additional revenue opportunities within the project and build, develop and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project.
• Assess project status via onsite meetings and work with contractors concerning generator set installation.

Position Summary The position is to lead multiple projects as assigned in close coordination with account / program management. This position will execute complex / high risk projects in adherence to strict budget, schedule, and scope as outlined in the customer contract. This position will also lead special projects as required.

• Prepare and deliver project progress reports (schedule, cost vs. budget, risks, tasks, etc.) to executive management
• Identify potential additional revenue opportunities within the project and build, develop and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project.
• Assess project status via onsite meetings and work with contractors concerning generator set installation.
• Drive project and PMO excellence through risk management, change control, performance monitoring, compliance, and continuous improvement activities.

Basic Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field + 7 years of experience in customer project execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field + 5 years of experience in customer project execution.
• Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field + 3 years of experience in customer project execution.
• JD/PhD in Business, Engineering, or related field.
• In lieu of degree, 9+ years of experience in customer project execution.

Preferred Requirements

• PMP certification or equivalent project management training.
• Experience leading complex customer or business projects from initiation through completion.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and resources in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting project governance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
