Job summary

Rolls-Royce Power Systems is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to lead a portfolio of complex initiatives across Mankato, Aiken, and Novi in a hybrid model. You will guide cross‑functional teams, manage scope, schedule, budget, and risks, and pursue growth opportunities with clients.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field + 7 years of experience in customer project execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field + 5 years of experience in customer project execution.
• Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field + 3 years of experience in customer project execution.
• JD/PhD in Business, Engineering, or related field.
• In lieu of degree, 9+ years of experience in customer project execution.
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident status required; sponsorship not offered.

• Develop, coach, and mentor Project Managers and project teams, fostering accountability and growth.
• Proactively manage project scope changes, crises and risks and create contingency and mitigation plans.

• Identify potential additional revenue opportunities within the project and build business relationships.
• Assess project status via onsite meetings and work with contractors concerning generator set installation.
• Drive project and PMO excellence through risk management, change control, and continuous improvement.

Position Summary

The position is to lead multiple projects as assigned in close coordination with account / program management. This position will execute complex / high risk projects in adherence to strict budget, schedule, and scope as outlined in the customer contract. This position will also lead special projects as required.

What You Will Be Doing

• Manage a portfolio of complex projects from initiation through completion, delivering results on scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Develop, coach, and mentor Project Managers and project teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth and lead a cross functional project team. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
• Proactively manage project scope changes, crises and risks and create contingency and mitigation plans.
• Prepare and deliver project progress reports (schedule, cost vs. budget, risks, tasks, etc.) to executive management
• Identify potential additional revenue opportunities within the project and build, develop and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project.
• Assess project status via onsite meetings and work with contractors concerning generator set installation.
• Drive project and PMO excellence through risk management, change control, performance monitoring, compliance, and continuous improvement activities.

Basic Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field + 7 years of experience in customer project execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field + 5 years of experience in customer project execution.
• Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field + 3 years of experience in customer project execution.
• JD/PhD in Business, Engineering, or related field.
• In lieu of degree, 9+ years of experience in customer project execution.

Preferred Requirements

• PMP certification or equivalent project management training.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting project governance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
