Job summary

Insight Global seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale data center construction programs. You will partner with project directors and managers to coordinate with contractors, vendors and stakeholders, steering day-to-day activities from planning through execution.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in construction project management, data center experience, and PMP certification, with a proven ability to drive complex schedules, budgets, and risk across mission-critical

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction project management experience in large-scale projects.
• Experience in data center construction and mission-critical infra.
• PMP certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site observations, safety QA/QC, and problem solving.
• Monitor entitlements and permitting processes.
• Manage design deliverables schedule and track deviations.
• Coordinate design team on RFIs and submittals.
• Review construction schedules and update owner schedule.
• Lead OFCI coordination and problem solving.
• Assist commissioning activities and drive issue resolution.
• Collaborate with project leaders; collect data; chase vendors for information; update budgets and reports.
• Coordinate with Project Cost Analyst on vendor invoices and percent complete.
• Attend project meetings; distribute minutes; follow up actions.
• Evaluate GC Change Orders before acceptance.
• Prepare data for Monthly Reports, quarterly Board Meetings, etc.

The Senior Project Manager is an essential member of the project team, partnering with Project Directors and other Project Managers to coordinate communications with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders while managing day-to-day construction activities for large-scale data center projects.

To be successful in this role, you will be a resilient problem solver and collaborative team player with the ability to think both strategically and tactically. You are action-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and can effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will build productive cross-functional relationships while demonstrating exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to project execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Regular site observation – job walks, problem solving, safety, QA/QC, etc.
• Monitor, track and support the entitlements & permitting process
• Manage the design deliverables schedule, incl tracking of BOD deviations
• Coordinate with design team on RFI and Submittal tracking & responses
• Review and analyze Construction Schedules from GCs and Owner-direct vendors and participate in the regular updating of the project team’s Owner Schedule.
• Lead OFCI coordination, scheduling and problem-solving efforts
• Participate in Commissioning activities and help drive issues to resolution
• Partner with project leaders as needed to resolve issues; collect and analyze data; chase vendors, suppliers and GC for information; update budgets, reports, business cases, etc.
• Coordinate with the Project Cost Analyst in the review and vetting of Vendor & GC invoices, incl percent complete evaluation
• Attend regular project meetings, keep and distribute minutes and follow up on action items
• GC Change Order evaluation prior to acceptance
• Assist in the collection and preparation of data as required for Monthly Construction Reports, quarterly Board Meetings, and other ad hoc meetings, reports and presentations.
