This senior electrical/software engineer will work with overhead cranes/hoists in the Konecranes Nuclear Equipment and Services (KNES) business, completing Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and final commissioning. The engineer should be able to read and design electrical schematics, use AutoCAD Electrical, perform electrical calculations, program PLCs using ladder logic, and design HMI applications (primarily Rockwell and Siemens). Responsibilities include performing field startups & testing, working in industrial environments, and having detailed knowledge of electric motor controls, utility circuits, safety circuits, and operator controls related to overhead cranes and hoists. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with circuit breakers, transformers, motor starters, contactors, relays, A.C./D.C. inverters, braking resistors, etc., are also key. Field activities may be domestic or international, lasting 1-2 months.
This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Supervisor.
