Job summary

Catamount Constructors seeks an experienced project manager to lead diverse construction projects across multiple markets. You will manage contracts, oversee buyout processes, and support the schedule with proactive oversight and clear communication with owners, architects, and contractors.

You will build strong relationships, review subcontractor invoices and change orders, and ensure compliance with contract documents while maintaining safety, quality, and on-time delivery across projects.

Qualifications

• People and project management is required.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks for self, team, and projects.
• Outstanding communication skills (listening, presenting, interpersonal and written).
• Advanced mathematical and reasoning ability; strong negotiating skills.
• Experience preferably with a general contractor.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Sciences or equivalent.
• Experience with Procore or the ability to learn.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong understanding of the contract from the project onset.
• Stay current during construction by accurately documenting project updates, as well as maintaining logs and documenting changes as needed.
• Using strong negotiation skills, establish the appropriate purchasing plan, and make solid and timely decisions during the buyout process.
• Support the Superintendent, who is the primary person responsible for the project schedule, post the monthly schedule, and take action to maintain or improve schedule whenever possible.
• Create and maintain relationships with project owners and acting on their behalf with urgency and in a timely manner.
• Facilitate Owner, Architect, and Contractor meetings, generating agendas and minutes.
• Submit owner pay applications correctly and timely.
• Maintain open communication with subcontractors. Review and approve subcontractor invoices and change orders, and process change orders as necessary.
• Ensure conformity with contract documents and scope of work, and address issues of underperformance if it arises.

Compensation
