Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Costa Mesa, CA to support PMs and field operations on complex concrete, hardscape, and site development projects. You will assist with documentation, procurement, scheduling, cost tracking, and closeout, ensuring safe, on-time, on-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in construction management, proficiency with Procore/Bluebeam, and a degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in project engineering, assistant PM, or similar construction management role.
• Experience supporting concrete, site development, hardscape, or public works projects.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specs, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with all phases of project execution from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, project correspondence, and documentation.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to identify scope gaps and potential issues.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, landscape architects, engineers, subcontractors, and inspectors.
• Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, procurement, and project reporting.
• Monitor project schedules and support timely completion of key milestones.
• Coordinate material deliveries, vendor communication, and subcontractor activities.
• Attend project meetings and maintain accurate records of project progress.
• Support project closeout, punch list completion, and turnover documentation.
• Help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards.

Senior Project Engineer

A leading Southern California specialty contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of complex concrete, hardscape, site development, and specialty construction projects throughout the region.

This role offers the opportunity to work on highly visible projects involving decorative concrete, architectural concrete, public spaces, hardscape improvements, site development, and other design-driven construction scopes. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and experienced in supporting projects from preconstruction through closeout while collaborating with owners, architects, landscape architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams.

Position Summary

The Senior Project Engineer will play a critical role in supporting Project Managers and field operations across multiple active projects. Responsibilities include project documentation, contract administration, procurement coordination, scheduling support, cost tracking, and maintaining strong communication between all project stakeholders.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and related construction software.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Decorative concrete, architectural concrete, site concrete, or hardscape construction experience.
• Parks, plazas, streetscapes, public works, or site improvement project experience.
• Experience coordinating with landscape architects and design consultants.
• Exposure to self-perform concrete operations.
• Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, cost forecasting, and construction administration.
• Experience supporting projects ranging from $1M to $50M+.
