Position Title: Sr Project Engineer, A&E (P4)

Role

The Sr. Project Engineer leads project teams in producing Architectural and Engineering (A&E) design packages and construction drawings for telecommunications infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for licensed professional engineers (PE) or those working towards licensure (EIT).

Responsibilities

• Examine plans, specifications, and technical documents to produce accurate, constructible, and code-compliant construction drawings.
• Perform civil, mechanical, and structural design or analysis on structures like equipment pads, steel platforms, antenna mounts, H-frames, etc.
• Recommend civil, mechanical, and electrical design modifications for telecom sites.
• Review structural documentation for consistency with project requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and update tools, standards, and training materials.
• Review or modify AutoCAD templates for A&E drawing packages.
• Perform quality audits on external work products.
• Respond to consultation work order requests.
• Manage and communicate project updates proactively in line with expectations.

Education/Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Fundamentals of Engineering Exam – EIT required.
• PE licensure or Electrical Engineer (EE) preferred.

Experience/Minimum Requirements

• 3 to 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD beneficial.
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Ability to create and evaluate electrical plans and diagrams.

Expectations

• Experience with MS Excel and engineering calculations software.
• Project leadership experience.
• Understanding of spatial relationships and structural load paths.
• Knowledge of tower hardware, components, and fabrication processes.
• Experience with tower erection and construction practices.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, with strong communication skills.
• Customer relations experience and openness to innovative solutions.
• Knowledge of tnxTower and RISA 3D software beneficial.

Organizational Relationship

Reports to: Sr Manager Production Engineering

Title of direct reports: N/A

Working Conditions

This role follows a hybrid work model: in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays; flexible Mondays and Fridays with options to work remotely. Travel may be required for collaboration.

The salary range is $110,300–$151,600 annually, influenced by experience, skills, education, and location. Compensation may include bonuses, equity, benefits, paid time off, and holidays.
