Job summary

Scientific Search seeks a Senior Project Engineer to own the design, build, and validation of advanced automation solutions in Erie, PA. You will lead cross-disciplinary teams to deliver complex machinery from concept through final build.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field, hands-on experience with automated systems, and strong proficiency in SolidWorks or NX. This role offers an excellent benefits package and onsite collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology required.
• Proven experience designing and building automated machinery and systems.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or NX; AutoCAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead machine design, build, validation, and documentation for automated systems.
• Create designs, drawings, BOMs, concepts, and project estimates.
• Coordinate designers, vendors, purchasing, and manufacturing to meet project milestones.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for internal teams and customers.
• Guide integration of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems across projects.

Senior Project Engineer

Location: Erie, PA
Take ownership of sophisticated automation projects from first concept through a fully validated machine. My client is seeking an accomplished engineer to lead the technical development of custom machinery, robotics, tooling, and integrated automation that solves complex manufacturing challenges.
