Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Sr Project Coordinator in Washington state (Sumner area) to work closely with Project Managers and Finance. The role involves coordinating multiple project teams, resolving subcontractor issues, and maintaining project budgets and reports.

The position emphasizes hands-on problem solving, strong communication, and leadership to drive on-time project delivery. Compensation is hourly, with a comprehensive benefits package and competitive pay.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes collaborative relationships among project and constituent groups to promote integrated systems.
  • Coordinates work of multiple project teams supporting the Project Manager.
  • Identifies and removes barriers to project completion, especially with subcontractors.
  • Facilitates decision-making between project managers and other stakeholders to maintain an integrated focus.
  • Provides timely project status updates and resolves issues at higher levels when needed.
  • Maintains and updates the company's database and generates reports (VLookup, pivot tables).
  • Serves as the primary contact with external vendor representatives and consultants on project matters.
  • Assist in questions about drivers/work completed and budgets; coordinate PARS and PSU processes.
  • Create vendor POs based on approved OOMs; support budgets, quotes, and reporting.
  • Analyze project finances to reconcile variances and assist in financial true-up at milestones.

Responsibilities

The Sr Project Coordinator is responsible for working closely with Project Managers (PMs) and Finance.

In addition, you will:

  • Establishes collaborative relationships among the various project and constituent groups, with the aim of promoting the concept of integrated systems
  • Facilitates and coordinates the work of multiple project teams engaged in the establishment and implementation of new projects to support the Project Manager
  • Identifies and works to remove barriers to successful completion of the overall project, with particular emphasis on resolving issues with subcontractors
  • Facilitates decision-making processes as appropriate, serving as liaison between project managers, and adjudicating disagreements on approach to ensure the maintenance of an integrated, institutional focus for the overall project
  • Provides timely project status updates to the Project Managers; submits for resolution those problems and issues that cannot be resolved at lower levels
  • Maintain and update the company's database
  • Must be able to generate customized reports and pivot tables in addition to utilizing VLookup functionality
  • Serves as the primary point of contact with external vendor representatives and functional consultants on overall strategic and technical project matters
  • Work with PM when there are questions about appropriate drivers/work completed, etc.
  • Complete PARS requests as needed and communicate with corporate staff regarding budgets and purchasing issues. Work with Project Setup (PSU) to set up and maintain updated and accurate project budgets
  • Create vendor POs based on approved OOMs and assignments
  • Research as needed to support PM teams: budgets, quote discrepancies, PO issues, conflicting vendor reports, etc
  • Analyze project finances to reconcile variances in project budgets, vendor POs, and approved OOMs
  • Assist in conducting financial true-up at commercial milestones
  • Process vendor check requests
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Compensation of $25-$30 per hour, depending on the experience.
