Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced Program Planner/Cost Analyst to lead planning and cost analysis for government and internal R&D programs. You will drive baselines, EAC updates, and integrated cost/schedule data across large data sets.

Responsibilities include coordinating with PMs and IPTs, maturing PMO practices, and delivering actionable metrics to leadership. A PMP/PM certification and Deltek/Empower experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, finance, engineering, project management or other analytical field.
• Experience with EVMS and cost/schedule integration on government or corporate contracts.
• Proven ability to establish baselines, reforecast budgets and perform EAC updates.
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams and delivering integrated program plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of program plans integrated with schedules.
• Perform regular Estimate at Complete updates and root-cause variance analysis.
• Support PMO maturation and cost-management process improvements.
• Provide accurate cost estimates and reporting to program leadership.
• Mentor other cost analysts and drive organizational adoption of PMO artifacts.

Partnered with Blue’s Program Managers and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), you will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of accurate program plans integrated with our program schedules in Primavera P6. This will require exceptional communication and organizational skills as you solicit inputs on requirements and dependencies across the organization and formulate these inputs into robust program plans and forecasts.Establishing these program plans will involve development of Work Breakdown Structures, and the formation of control account data structures. You will drive execution to these plans by coordinating status updates and performing regular Estimate to Complete updates. Along with leading root cause variance analysis, you will use data to generate actionable metrics, key performance indictors and reporting to inform program leadership, and influence future plan updates. You will enable effective business decisions by driving accurate program cost estimates through effective cost analysis and supporting the timely delivery quality and transparent program performance data.This position requires you to implement effective change management to account for approved scope changes, and actively manage program Estimate at Completes (EACs). This will require being exceptionally detail oriented and proactive in analyzing data and variances to help inform future performance on our projects.You will also support the maturing of the PMO organization by analyzing program cost management procedures and introducing improvements and mentoring other program cost analysts to achieve our high standards.
