Amtrak is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead the System Infrastructure Renewal portfolio across the Northeast Corridor. You will manage a team of Program Managers and Sr Project Managers, ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and safety standards while aligning with Amtrak’s strategic objectives.
The role focuses on track infrastructure renewal, production structures, and select electric traction initiatives, with on-site work four days per week and some remote work.

Reporting to the Director, Portfolio Management - Systems, the Senior Program Manager is responsible for leadership and delivery of Amtrak's System Infrastructure Renewal Portfolio, including State of Good Repair (SOGR) capital programs performed across the Northeast Corridor. The portfolio is primarily focused on track infrastructure renewal, production structures, and select electric traction initiatives. The Senior Program Manager leads a team of Program Managers and Senior Project Managers and is accountable for portfolio performance, resource management, capital planning, and successful delivery of projects and programs in support of Amtrak's strategic objectives. This position ensures projects are delivered safely, within scope, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations and engineering standards.
The salary/hourly range is $135,800.00 – $176,040.00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
