We are actively seeking an experienced PM with a strong background in planning and leading safety initiatives that align with long-term business objectives. The ideal candidate will leverage extensive project management experience, combined with deep analytical capabilities and a keen sense of innovation, to lead complex projects from conception to completion. This role requires scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive communication skills are essential. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in transforming visions into actionable plans and guiding those plans to fruition. In this role, you will be responsible for program strategies, including the development and execution of detailed project roadmaps. You will work closely with various internal teams and stakeholders, harmonizing different perspectives and ensuring cohesive efforts towards common goals.

Some travel may be required (no more than 25%).

Key job responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of complex cross-functional programs with considerable impact across multiple organizations
• Development of the overall program strategy, tactically driving teams in and outside of your organization to deliver
• Define the program (problem statement, end state vision, milestones, key performance indicators), set objectives, analyze data and drive improvements that are quantified with metrics
• Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment, seeking to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions and reasons behind leadership decisions
• Partner with teams across the businesses you support and beyond to source, allocate, and coordinate resources
• Partner with customers, internal/external teams, and engineering teams to determine what projects move forward and in what priority order
• Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks)
• Work with program managers, business leaders and executive team to communicate and impact critical business initiatives
• Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects
• Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Amazon customers
• Create, communicate, and manage project budget

Drawing from field expertise, OpEx partners with cross-functional teams to resolve global challenges and proactively support 8,000+ WHS professionals. We partner with process owners to understand causal effects leading to defects, leverage process improvement tools and methodologies eliminating defects, improving efficiency, and driving change to optimize safety performance; creating a culture of safety excellence. We are open to hiring candidates to work from the following locations: Nashville, Bellevue or Arlington.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience
• Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing large, complicated programs

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of driving process improvements experience
• 5+ years of managing stakeholders in cross-functional project experience
• 5 + years driving practical application of program management methodology including PMP/Lean Six Sigma/Kaizen

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
