Description: Senior Program Manager

As the Senior Program Manager, you will manage pharmaceutical industry programs and projects from inception to completion, interacting with IT and Business users. This role will focus on managing an IT Integration workstream for Mergers and Acquisitions efforts.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing multiple work streams across business and technology initiatives.
• Assessing project and program health, recommending recovery strategies.
• Ensuring governance, processes, and best practices are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with stakeholders to align project objectives and ensure cohesive portfolio management.
• Oversee project initiation, planning, execution, and benefits realization.
• Develop and manage program deliverables for successful execution.
• Coordinate with executive teams to align with transformation goals.
• Implement and promote program management best practices.
• Act as liaison with internal/external stakeholders and vendors.
• Lead decisions on program design and completion methods.
• Represent domain leadership in portfolio management initiatives.
• Mentor project managers and build project management capabilities.
• Collaborate on financial planning and tracking with controllers.
• Monitor budgets and operational effectiveness, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Work with vendors on contracts, SOWs, POs, and invoices.

Qualifications include experience with Agile and Waterfall, strong project management skills, and industry experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals. PMP certification and M&A program management experience are advantages.

Minimum qualifications:

• 8-11 years in program management, including project, portfolio, and business analysis roles.
• Experience managing budgets from $4M to $10M over 2-5 years.
• Knowledge of project governance models like PMI, Agile, Scrum.
• Ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders.
• Pharmaceutical experience is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to Waukegan/North Chicago.
