Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Program Manager responsible for overall daily planning and execution of Landis+Gyr contracts and ownership of customer relationships for delivery of new products or solutions. The role involves customer interface, subcontract management, new business expansion, operations and maintenance of the network, and financial oversight. The Sr. Program Manager will supervise on‑site personnel, coordinate subcontractors, manage budgets, deliver revenue forecasts, and ensure customer satisfaction through strong contract execution and program delivery.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Provide leadership, guidance and coaching to members of the program team.
  • Act as the principal customer interface and trusted partner with customers and stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex technical details to diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews of the program team and give feedback.
  • Lead and direct resources to fulfill contractual obligations, performance levels, and service levels for complex customer programs.
  • Initiate, plan, execute, control, and ensure final customer acceptance of assigned programs.
  • Coordinate team and indirect resources to ensure quality deliverables and stakeholder agreement.
  • Drive issues to resolution independently or through company resources and manage customer expectations.
  • Report and control the financial health of programs, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Manage program scope, schedule, and cost while mitigating risk.
  • Keep internal stakeholders (Finance, Sales, Operations, Product Management, executives) apprised of status, KPIs, issues, and risks.
  • Demonstrate operational improvements.
  • Represent the company professionally in sales activities.
  • Perform other tasks or requests as required.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, network, systems, computer, or related business field.
  • 10 years of experience in Project Management or a similar multi‑disciplined business environment leading and managing a customer account.
  • Experience managing customer accounts of $100M or more.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate, schedule and prioritize activities of supervisors and leads within a contract team.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ensure programs remain on schedule, on budget, and within scope.
  • Solid understanding of utilities and large organizations.
  • Ability to work within a matrix organization and lead resources, dedicated or not.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and executive leadership alignment.
  • Define processes, resources, capabilities, and integration points for new solutions.
  • Strong negotiation, facilitation, and consensus‑building skills.
  • Use influence to secure support of indirect resources for projects.
  • Strong business acumen – P&L and financial skills including forecasting revenues/expenses.
  • Resolve conflicts and diffuse tense customer situations.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite including MS Project.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
  • Typical indoor office environment; time spent sitting, working on a computer.
  • Occasional use of phone, copier, printer, fax, etc.
  • Physical requirements include standing, walking, crouching, lifting up to 10 lb.
  • Ability to sit and view a computer screen for long periods; sight, hearing, and speaking in English.

Benefits and Compensation

Pay range: $145,200 – $192,975 per year. Eligible for 401(k) match and annual bonus consideration. Base salary depends on qualifications, experience, skills, education, and certifications.
