Job summary

RTX in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Sr. Production Test Engineer to join our manufacturing team, supporting the test process through product development, transition to production, sustained production and depot activities.

You will validate hardware to data package requirements, troubleshoot failures, and lead root-cause investigations while identifying ways to improve efficiency, yields and capacity in test operations. This onsite role requires U.S.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing production environment.
• Experience with hardware testing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF access.

What You Will Do:

As a Sr. Production Test Engineer(PTE) you’re part of a manufacturing team that supportsthetest process through one or more phases of the product life cycle, including product development, transition to production, sustained production and depot activities.

As a Sr. PTE you’ll validateandensurecomplianceof the prime hardwareto technical data package requirementsand supporting test equipment.You’ll also troubleshoot and problem solve around test failures, and you’ll identifyopportunities to improve efficiency, yields and capacity in test processes.

Additional responsibilities may include:

• Troubleshooting and providing accurate rework instructions for the product hardware.
• Creating and maintaining spares and the test equipment obsolescence plan.
• Executing projects to reduce test time and improve the test process through analysis of predictive metrics of trends, failure mode, and test yields.
• Developing test flows and contributing to test capacity analysis.
• Maintaining changes to the test equipment technical data package which includes drawings, test instructions, test position manuals and system software.
• Leading non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of the product or test equipment.
• Leading root cause and corrective action investigations and presenting findings, utilizing fault trees and knowledge point plans.
• Performing risk assessments and supporting the program’s risk register reviews.

This job is posted as ONSITE and is located at Raytheon’s facility at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing production environment.
• Experience with hardware testing
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF).

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
