EssilorLuxottica is seeking a Senior Production Technician to perform advanced technical work in the assigned production area (Surfacing, Finishing, or Coating) and to mentor junior team members to ensure high‑quality prescription eyewear. The role supports cross‑training across areas and aims to maintain compliance with EssilorLuxottica standards.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years in optical manufacturing, strong troubleshooting skills, and a proven leadership record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in an optical lab, manufacturing, or related technical environment, including at least 2 years at the Production Technician level.
• Proven ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment across multiple production areas.
• Completion of training in at least five qualified functions, including: two functions at the Senior Production Technician level; one function at the Production Technician level (or higher); two functions at the Associate Production Technician level (or higher).
• Strong mechanical aptitude, depth perception, and manual dexterity.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.
• Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsabilités

• Performs advanced technical processes, calibrations, preventive maintenance, safety checks, and conformance testing to ensure consistent quality in the assigned area.
• Troubleshoots equipment and workflow issues, leads root cause analysis, and recommends corrective actions.
• Segregates and documents non‑conforming product, ensuring corrective measures are applied to maintain quality standards.
• Provides on‑the‑job training, coaching, and mentoring to Associates and Production Technicians.
• Maintains flexibility to support and cross‑train in other production areas (Surfacing, Finishing, Coating).
• Works at Technician levels (Associate, Production, and Senior) as needed.
• Supports and implements process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Ensures compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
• Maintains accurate records of production, maintenance, and quality control activities.
• Acts as a role model by promoting a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

The Senior Production Technician is responsible for performing advanced technical work within their assigned production area (e.g., Surfacing, Finishing, or Coating) while also supporting cross‑training and coverage across other areas as needed. This role provides technical expertise, troubleshooting, and mentoring to junior team members, ensuring high‑quality production of prescription eyewear in compliance with EssilorLuxottica standards.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• PePerforms advanced technical processes, calibrations, preventive maintenance, safety checks, and conformance testing to ensure consistent quality within the assigned production area.

• Ensures compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
• Maintains accurate records of production, maintenance, and quality control activities.
• Acts as a role model by promoting a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in an optical lab, manufacturing, or related technical environment, including at least 2 years at the Production Technician level.
