Job summary

EKSC ElringKlinger South Carolina, LLC. is seeking a production operator to coordinate workflow and ensure production schedules and quality standards are met on the line.

You will manage material availability, operate equipment, and assist with setup and troubleshooting, while coaching teammates and documenting production metrics. The role emphasizes adherence to safety and quality requirements, with opportunities to participate in 5S/lean initiatives and daily production meetings to relay

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety standards and quality requirements.
• Ability to train team members effectively and communicate clearly.
• Basic computer skills for line operations and record-keeping.

About the Role

• Monitor and coordinate workflow to meet production schedules and quality standards
• Responsible for material availability at the station
• Operating equipment and/or running stations within the line
• Assist with machine and equipment setup and minor adjustments/troubleshooting
• Serve as the first point of escalation for operators regarding process and equipment issues
• Provide on-the-job training and coaching to new and existing team members
• Verify first piece inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Assist with accurate production, downtime, scrap, and other production records and reporting
• Escalate production issues and coordinate resolutions, within escalation matrix
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and communicate suggestions to supervisor and/or production manager
• Support 5S and lean initiatives within the work area
• Serve as a liaison between operators and supervisors, relay shift updates and priorities
• Participate in daily production meetings and provide feedback on team performance
• Adhere to safety, quality, and production requirements
• Other duties, as assigned.

About You

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical or advanced training in manufacturing processes)
• Associate’s degree preferred
• 2-3 years of experience in a production environment
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality requirements; ability to train other team members effectively
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with team members
• Basic computer skills
