Job summary

ElringKlinger Manufacturing Indiana Inc. in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a skilled operator to perform machining-related tasks and maintain meticulous quality records.

You will count parts, verify good/rejected items, and report downtime while applying 5S at your workstation and following the work plan for each part. You will set up equipment, execute machining steps, arrange packaging and labeling, and log time and material usage in the ERP system, escalating issues as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred.
• Ability to apply 5S and maintain workstation organization.
• Proficiency with ERP systems for recording time, material, and quality data.

Responsibilities

• Count good, rejected, and rework parts and document results.
• Identify and report machine downtime and deviations.
• Apply 5S methodology at the workstation and clean/inspect as required.
• Perform machining steps per the work plan and setup as needed.
• Record machining time, downtime and reasons in ERP; escalate issues.
• Pack and label produced parts according to specifications.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

Count good parts, rejected parts and parts that require reworking Identify and report any machine downtime Insert material into/removing them from the systems Ensure the use of the 5S methodology at the workstation Work through cleaning and inspection plans Perform the machining steps set out in the work plan Confirm good parts, rejected parts and parts that require reworking, the machining time and downtime and the reasons for any deviations in the defined ERP system Execute the material request and the material consumption posting in the defined ERP system Pack and label produced parts as per the defined specifications Carry out defined quality checks Use individual systems and/or implementing multi-system operation Start/restart systems as per the documentation or specifications Fix temporary machine interruptions that fall within the defined responsibility Escalate technical problems in line with the defined escalation matrix Carrying out set-up process

Hours: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM Monday - Thursday Overtime as needed
