Job description

Interested in helping defense and national security customers transform their capabilities with Amazon Web Services? This is an exciting opportunity to deliver, grow, and scale our services across our US Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) regions to help these customers move their missions forward.

We are seeking a Product Manager -Tech to own delivering a portfolio of AWS services across a range of US ADC regions. This role will drive programs that result in meeting the needs of these diverse customers. It will require breaking down challenges into actionable strategies with an eagerness to embrace a fast-paced environment. Our service areas of responsibility include Generative AI, Agentic AI, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML), and Databases.

This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Key job responsibilities

Your skills will need to cover both breadth and depth. Success will be shaped by your ability to analyze data, execute a customer-centric strategy, and communicate effectively. You will partner with stakeholders that span different organizations (Engineering, Sales, Finance, etc.) and seniority (hands-on engineers to senior leadership). You will define roadmaps, mitigate risks, prioritize against constraints, and design mechanisms for how your programs achieve success.

You will establish a deep understanding of customers by diving into the details of their needs. This focus will involve you learning and practicing Amazon's working backwards approach to delighting customers. Your knowledge of our services will drive greater mission outcomes, from launching brand new capabilities to overcoming obstacles. Your strong skills in technical program management will unlock daily progress in our initiatives.

A day in the life

Our PMTs deliver in an agile environment that embraces the evolving needs of customers. This creates a healthy balance of consistent approaches and unique activities. While no day is the same, our PMTs invest their time in customer deep dives, roadmap sessions with their engineering teams, drafting new strategies, and more. This mix of strategic and tactical efforts require diverse TPM skills that lead to rewarding results.

Our team includes a mix of product and program managers. Each team member has distinct ownership of their own products/programs, but we work together to deliver more than the sum of our parts. This empowers us to take advantage of each team member's unique strengths to deliver more for our customers. We place great value on maintaining harmony between our personal and professional lives.
