Job summary

Amazon's Tablet team is seeking a highly technical product leader to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for next-gen tablets for adults and kids. You will drive hardware and software experiences, partnering with Engineering, Operations, and Business Development to deliver end-to-end customer value.

You will mine customer data, craft crisp requirements and user stories, and guide teams from ideation to mass production.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience.
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience with end to end product delivery.
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
  • Experience managing technical products or online services
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Lead the development and execution of a bold, customer-focused product strategy and vision for next-generation high-volume tablets for adults and kids to enable new use cases, delightful performance, and connected experiences to deliver a great holistic customer experience.
  • Lead initiatives in various stages of the lifecycle—from ideation to development to launch.
  • Drive device product launches, leading the full product life cycle from inception to mass production, in partnership with Engineering, Operations, Business Development, Go to Market, PR, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Write and clearly communicate thoughtful product strategies to offer the best Android benefits and Amazon's content and services, and translate them into actionable roadmaps.
  • Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture.
  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance, and operational excellence.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.
  • Create buy-in for the product vision and strategy with leadership and internal partners, including Product leads, Engineering, UX, Legal, Finance, and more.

We are looking for a highly technical product leader who wants to build Amazon's innovative new generation of tablet devices for adults and kids. This PM will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our next-gen core-tier tablets, delivering best in class hardware and end to end experiences that delight both adults and kids, and redefine their expectations of their tablets. With a deep knowledge and passion for tablets and portable device technologies, sensors, and customer empathy to inform meaningful innovation, this PM will prioritize and lead investment into new features and use cases for the next high-volume tablets. A day in the life

While each day may differ, you will always learn something new, innovate and delight our customers, and grow. You will be the primary advocate of our customers and define the best product experiences for our next generation Amazon Tablets to delight them, while also adding business value. You will dive deep in customer data, category dynamics, and tech trends to define and gain buy-in for next gen device detailed features (HW and SW). You will work closely with an integrated core team to define detailed requirements, and move the product concept to execution through development, launch, and mass production. This includes executive communications, defining a product vision, partnering with engineering to optimize the product, and identifying ways to address customer feedback.

Basic Qualifications

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
