Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable broadband connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From households to small businesses, schools, hospitals, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve communities and organizations operating in places without dependable internet access.
We are looking for a Sr. Product Manager – Tech to own the roadmap, and end-to-end delivery for Leo’s critical product experience validation team within Amazon LEO. You will be the single-threaded owner for subject matter expertise in one or more specific areas (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Tax) of Amazon LEO’s eCommerce experience. You work backwards from customer needs to ensure LEO’s product experience meets the cross-functional capabilities at launch and contribute to Amazon Leo’s existing AI-powered Agentic UAT framework. You will work with engineering, other product teams, stakeholder teams (Finance, Tax, Accounting, etc.) and operations teams to deliver your charter.
The products you own sit at the intersection of satellite telecommunications, subscription commerce, and global operations where customer expectations for simplicity collide with the technical complexity of delivering connectivity from space. You will thrive in this environment because you bring genuine product understanding paired with technical depth: you understand how customers think about payments, subscriptions, eCommerce, and reverse logistics when they buy an internet service. You engage meaningfully in engineering discussions, and you apply your product instinct to ensure that the product UAT team can test against product requirements without interpretation. You also influence the existing Agentic Product experience tooling used by the team.
You will work directly with Finance, Legal, Accounting, Tax and Trade (FLATT) stakeholders to understand their requirements, validate product direction, and ensure that every roadmap decision is grounded in real-world need and not on internal assumption. You will author the burndown plans and review the UAT test cases that set the strategic direction of Amazon LEO’s product experience, and you will stay engaged through delivery to ensure what ships matches what was envisioned. In its current phase, Amazon LEO demands someone who can hold both the customer-back strategic view and the technical trade-off conversations simultaneously.
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
You start with a morning cadence call with your stakeholders to discuss the scope of a new workstream to validate the launch of Leo in a new country, or new feature set. You use your knowledge and understanding of Leo’s systems and eCommerce capabilities to probe whether the feature product owners have defined complete and accurate test cases to validate features covering your functional area. You influence multiple product leaders to critically think about the feasibility, and testability of their features.
Next you may meet with your FLATT stakeholders, to unblock the validation team regarding a complex, multi-feature test scenario and educate the stakeholder and learn about nuances of the product experience. Then you transition into a discussion with engineering on how a service feature should be tested across geographies. Later, you could be authoring a working backwards document that introduces a new feature in the Amazon Leo Agentic UAT system. You'll collaborate across business development, network engineering, regulatory, and operations teams — navigating the unique challenge of building products where the network is in orbit, the customers are global, and the experience must feel as simple as flipping a switch.
