Workday is seeking a Development Tools Product Manager in Pleasanton to lead discovery and delivery, shaping the product roadmap for our Developer Experience. You will work with engineering and automation teams to turn user pain points into concrete specifications and storyboards, driving value with an agile mindset.

About The Team

Do you want to join a fast-paced start-up-like environment while working with innovative technologies to tackle a variety of complex problems? The Product Development Tools team focuses on improving the Developer Experience by enhancing Workday code authoring capabilities, providing requisite code management tools, and supporting the development & delivery pipeline.

As the Development Tools Product Manager you will:

• Lead product discovery and delivery to help achieve exceptional product outcomes for our customers
• Define and execute the Product roadmap aligned with our overall Development Tools Org Strategy
• Collaborate internally with the engineering and automation teams to transform user pain points into functional specifications and storyboarding
• Build and deliver continual value to the business, making thoughtful trade-offs and taking calculated risks within an Agile Scrum environment.
• Develop presentations, mock-ups, flowcharts, and product demonstrations to facilitate effective communication with stakeholders.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience translating customer/user needs into product deliverables and release support through the entire product life cycle.
• Technical understanding of Developer and/or Productivity Tools that assist software engineers and automators

Other Qualifications

• Ability to own several product lines including feature prioritization and drive the execution, building a strategy for the next features you will own
• Experience with Agile scrum methodology.
• An inherently proactive and collaborative style that enables you to win the hearts and minds of your peers to successfully implement a complex product roadmap, with execution often happening across teams.
• Excellent communications and influencing skills across all levels of a large organization
• Cultivate strong relationships with the cross-team developer community to understand their pain points and preferences.
• Experience with WD Developer Tools (such as Coffeehouse, XORC, etc) is a plus

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
