The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in production workflow and technology, creating solutions that return valuable time to the creative process. This role blends business analysis, product management, AI fluency, and stakeholder partnership to ensure technical solutions are strategically aligned, user-focused, and positioned for future growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with business clients or other product teams within the organization to gather requirements, define use cases, and translate needs into actionable acceptance criteria and prototypes.
  • In close partnership with leadership and business stakeholders, develop and execute the product vision and roadmap across internal applications, customized Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) options, and licensed SaaS solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
  • Using AI-assisted coding tools, build and deliver high-quality solutions on time and within scope. Establish and evolve new AI-enabled workflows, including integration of LLM-powered tools and agents.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and prioritization activities. Define, groom, and accept user stories that translate stakeholder requests into engineering work.
  • Author and maintain product documentation, data flow and UML diagrams, and other technical artifacts to support development and stakeholder understanding, using context files, rules, and blueprints where possible.
  • Analyze and interpret data to support decision-making at the studio, production and individual contributor levels.
  • Partner with infrastructure and data engineering teams to support integration with studio data platforms.
  • Monitor product KPIs and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Highlight all successes, opportunities, and risks in executive-level communications.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in film production, computer science, information systems, software, electrical engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent years of work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in product ownership within software development environments.
  • 5+ years of experience using Agile Scrum methodology. Proven track record managing technical application delivery in an Agile setting.
  • 5+ years in a Production or Studio environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude, etc.) to accelerate prototyping and to build, test, deploy, and maintain applications.
  • Exceptional analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with data platforms.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on knowledge of the film production lifecycle.
  • Experience managing projects that leverage cross-functional teams in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience developing or managing agents; creating agentic workflows.
  • Experience creating dashboards, reports, and providing business insights via analytics.
  • Certified Agile Product Owner is a plus.
