Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Product Designer with a strong UX and visual design background to lead strategic initiatives and launch new features aimed at higher education and professional learners. You will collaborate closely with content, product, and engineering teams, responsible for enhancing the current experience and defining the North Star vision. The role involves owning the product by solving complex problems with simple, elegant solutions. Our product designers are embedded within collaborative teams and are directly responsible for the success of their projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Define and craft user experiences for specific product areas.
2. Collaborate with product and engineering teams throughout development.
3. Understand and advocate for user needs.
4. Define key metrics to measure success and impact.
5. Maintain alignment on goals and priorities within the team.
6. Approach open-ended problems with vigor and clarity.
7. Consider the holistic user journey and product ecosystem.
8. Lead user research and testing to ensure usability and consistency.
9. Utilize data to iteratively improve the user experience.
10. Design for AI-driven teaching and learning experiences.

Experience:

• 7+ years of product design experience with a relevant online portfolio.
• Proficiency in detailed and system-level design.
• Strong communication skills to articulate process, approach, and rationale.
• Experience designing for AI-driven experiences, including LLMs.

Skills:

• Experience working in collaborative teams with designers, strategists, product managers, and developers.
• Proven ability to define and lead user research efforts.
• Awareness of current design trends across web and mobile platforms.
• Experience working with design systems.
• Familiarity with Agile, lean UX, and mobile-first design principles.
• Understanding of visual, interaction, and content design disciplines.
• Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience designing conversational interfaces (preferred).
• Experience with educational content (preferred).

Education:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in design, HCI, or related fields.
